Vodafone supports Amantani through their World of Difference Scheme
In 2011, Vodafone began their support of Amantani through their World of Difference Scheme. They made three awards to Amantani which allowed us to bring in three specialists (Wendy, Laura and Michelle) to help us here in the UK for a two-month period. This was a huge turning point for Amantani and helped us to make 2011 a successful year of fundraising.
In 2012, the Vodafone Foundation made a further three awards to Amantani which meant we can count on the support of David, Ian and Jessica for a two-month period. This kind of support is hugely beneficial to a small charity like Amantani and we are very grateful to Vodafone for playing such a crucial role in our growth over the last year.
Thank you Vodafone!
Meet Our 2011 Winners:
Wendy Turner
I have been given a fantastic opportunity to work with Amantani, to make a difference to a small Peruvian community by organising a multimedia/photographic exhibition in London in March 2012, to raise vital funds for their young people, which will positively change their lives forever.
Michelle Levi
“I am working to research and develop ways Amantani can connect with
schools in the UK to raise funds and awareness. The aim is to create a
package that is fun, educational and challenging and to reach as many
schools as possible.“
Laura Dugmore
“My name is Laura and I’m chuffed to bits to be a winner of Vodafone
World of Difference UK. My role will be an interesting mix of marketing
and fundraising and ultimately I hope to raise their profile in the UK
to make sure the charity continues to be able to fundraise for these
great projects!”
