Swimming Windermere - 20th August 2009

Carey Lankester started proceedings, beginning at 10.50am and setting a terrific pace. Despite, some irritation with her knees, she dug deep to complete her 3½-mile stint in 2h 45mins. She then handed over the ‘baton’ to Luke who made his 3½ miles look very easy, putting in a time of exactly 2 hours. Finally, it was Fred’s turn, who stumbled onto the beach at the most northern tip of Windermere at 5.50pm after 2h 15mins in the water, and in doing so, drew to a close this epic triathlon.

Again, this event would not have been possible if it were not for our dedicated support team who all required patience during a long day on or by the water. Thank you Christian Leake, Robert Lankester, Vicky Branson, Mike Branson.
