'Las Tikas' Boarding House - 15th May 2008

What a beautiful day! There was a real sense of hope and achievement in the air as all the people that contributed to the beginnings of the boarding house gathered to celebrate its opening. A clay pot of wine was smashed in the main doorway as a gesture of inauguration. Flowers and water were scattered all over the new boarding house to bring luck to its residents. The sun shone down all day long and following a rousing speech from Edgar the Mayor, we ate, played and laughed together.
