Boarding House Near Completion - 20th January 2012

In 2011, we began the process of building our first boarding house (the others are all in buildings donated by the community) and vacating the temporary solution for the boys which was a borrowed building owned by the community. This time, the land has been donated by the community and we have teamed up with the parents to erect the simple structure, which features a dormitory, a dining room, a classroom, a kitchen and a bathroom.

We're pleased to say that we have made a lot of progress. The parents have worked extremely hard to move earth, flatten land and get the roof on the house before the rain came hurtling down. Now it is up to Juan and his team to fit the electrics, the sewage system and decorate the interiors amongst other things. Keep up the good work Juan - the older girls are moving in here in just six weeks!
