Entries
± Please upload a low resolution version of your image for judging. A higher resolution version must be available if you are shortlisted for the exhibition.
± The original must be shot with an 8MP camera or higher, and must be available at 300dpi.
± For the low resolution entry, please resize your image so that the FILE SIZE is no larger than 1MB, otherwise you will be unable to upload the image.
± £5.00 minimum donation per image entered.
± There is no limit to how many images a person can enter
± The Competition is open to anyone over 18 years, amateur or professional of any nationality excluding Directors and Trustees of Amantani UK
± Opening date for entries is 16th of September 2011
± Closing date for entries is 2nd of January 2012
Winning & The Prizes
± The panel of judges will select images based upon interpretation of the theme, technical skill, originality and creativity of composition.
± Images should be kept as natural as possible with a minimum use of editing software. Altering contrast, brightness and sharpening are fine, as is converting to black and white
± A shortlist will be announced following the closing date.
± All those on the shortlist will be contacted by 21st January 2012 and will then have 10 days to supply a high-resolution file. Failure to produce a high-resolution file within the designated time period will eliminate an entrant from the shortlist.
± The organizers cannot be held responsible for emails that do not arrive due to the entrants email security settings or restrictions placed by their service provider.
± All winners will be notified by phone and e-mail.
± The organisers reserve the right to change the prize to a comparable alternative due to unforeseen circumstances and any changes will be posted on the website. Prizes are not transferable and no cash equivalent will be offered.
Copyright & Permissions
± All images, including winning entries remain with the photographer. You will retain full ownership and copyright in each entry.
± The entrant must be the sole author and owner of the copyright of the image.
± Entries that do not fulfill the above criteria will be deemed ineligible and disqualified.
± All Entries must be the entrant’s own original work.
± You have not licensed any rights in the work that conflict with the usage rights required by Amantani UK.
± That it does not include trademarks, contract rights, or any other intellectual property rights of any other third person or entity.
± That it does not contain names, likenesses, or other characteristics of celebrities or other public figures, living or dead.
± That it has not been a winning or shortlisted entry in any other competition.
± We urge all participants to consider ethical issues surrounding photography, in particular representations of potentially vulnerable people.
± Please always ask permission and consider not only how the photo is taken but also how it is presented afterwards.
± Entrants must ensure that any person or persons whose image is used in an entry has given valid consent for the use for their image or has waived any rights they may have in the image submitted. Where such a person is under 16, the consent of that person’s parent or guardian must be obtained. Failure to adequately demonstrate such consent to the satisfaction of Amantani UK may result in the entrant’s disqualification and forfeiture of any prize.
± Winning entries will be displayed on our website and in other media relating to the contest and future contests.
± In consideration of Amantani UK agreeing to consider the entry, each entrant grants to Amantani UK an irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty free, worldwide license to use their entry solely and exclusively for publicity and marketing purposes in relation to this and future Amantani UK photo competitions, for a three year period following the competition closing date. No other organization will be given the usage rights to your image.
± In addition your moral rights are respected. Whenever Amantani UK publishes your image you will be credited. Failure to publish a credit due to error or oversight shall not be deemed a breach of this condition.
± Should any image uses beyond those needed to promote the contest arise you will be contacted and given the opportunity to negotiate any such usage with the parties concerned independently of the competition.
± No responsibility is taken for entries lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete due to sever malfunctions or failures, virus, bugs, technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or any other causes outside Amantani UK’s control. Proof of entry is not proof of receipt.
± Amantani UK cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant as a result of entering the competition or any injury or damage to the entrant’s or any other person’s computer or mobile telephone relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in connection with the competition. Nothing shall exclude Amantani UK’s liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.
± Amantani UK reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entry that contains personally identifiable visual information about you or any other person. That contains threatening, false, misleading, abusive, harassing, libelous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, scandalous, inflammatory, pornographic or profane content. That contains any material that could constitute or encourage conduct which would be considered a criminal offence, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any law.
± You agree to fully indemnify Amantani UK and its sponsors in respect of all costs owing to any person or entity arising by reason of Your breaching any of the foregoing.
± Any personal data submitted by the entrant will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation.
± The Winner will be responsible for their travel, personal expenditure or other incidental costs.
± This competition is governed by English Law
