Fundraising Tips

Your challenge is more than just a matter of physical exertion. The goal ahead is as much about fundraising, as getting fit and pushing yourself to new limits.

Remember, the earlier you start fundraising, the easier it is. Be innovative and keep your fundraising fun! Please contact the Amantani team for more advice on how to raise your funds. Be proactive and you will reach your target!

Below are a few fundraising tips which will help you achieve your fundraising target:

1) Use websites

You can raise so much more with a webpage on a website like Justgiving.com. This enables you to raise funds online and spread the word about your challenge

2) Get everyone involved

Get you family, friends and colleagues to help you reach your target. Have a fancy dress day at work

3) Help others

Providing services such as car washes, babysitting, or dog walking will help others whilst raising crucial funds

4) Set targets

For you and supporters, such as ‘increase my sponsorship if I complete the challenge in under x amount of hours’

5) Host

Hold a themed party or dinner party in a local pub or at home with donations going to your cause.

6) Innovative sponsorship

Encourage your supports to sponsor you in different ways. Get sponsored a certain amount per mile, per hour, per day depending on your challenge.

7) Collect

Put collection boxes in local bars, at work, pubs or shops

8) Grab people’s imaginations during the event

Dress up whilst running a marathon, carry something during your challenge or tie yourself to a friend whist doing the challenge

9) Communicate personally

Write letters, email or even better ring everyone you know and let them know you need their help!

10) Media

Local media can really increase your funds. Write to the local paper and radio. Your community will support you!
